Many other wallets have a matching btcrecover extract script.

  1. List the available extract scripts

    ls extract-scripts/

    Output looks like extract-multibit-privkey.py extract-bither-privkey.py ...

    Match the script name to your wallet.

  2. Run the matching script on a copy

    python3 extract-scripts/extract-multibit-privkey.py /path/to/copy/your wallet file

    Output looks like (a short extract line)

    Send the printed extract line.

✅ Send this

The printed extract line (one or two lines of text).

❌ Never send

  • the wallet file itself
  • your seed phrase
  • any private key
